The purpose of the Student Representative Council is to primarily give the students a voice in the school community. Students elected to be a part of the SRC will participate in at least monthly meetings. The students will participate in creating the community at Greensborough College that we take pride in. Students who are elected represent their fellow students’ needs and welfare.

OLP105The aim of SRC is to be an active part in the College community. They will aim to live out the College’s Values of respect, achievement, integrity, humour, co-operation, pride and caring. They will also look for ways to promote the College and it’s achievements as they go about their work.

Elected SRC members participate in:

  • SRC meetings
  • Organise school activities
  • Coordinate fundraising for the school community (1 per term)
  • Coordinate fundraising for the external community (1 per term)
  • Whole School Assemblies
  • Leadership Days

Each team will be given the responsibility for:

  • Leadership training
  • An out of uniform day
  • Internal fundraising for one school related issue/event
  • A curriculum issue
  • An school environment (social, buildings, garden) issue
  • Publicity of SRC (through your class and broader)
  • A project involving the community
