Camps


 

Each year our Year 7 students attend a camp exclusively for them. The CONNECT Class Teacher, along with other Teachers take advantage of this camp to get to know the students in an alternative setting to school. The camp also allows the students to get to know one another outside of their CONNECT Class.

Recent Camps have been Kangaroobie on the Great Ocean Road at the door step of beautiful beach and farmland. Some of the activities are working farm, obstacle  course, canoeing, beach hike, GPS adventures, Kangaroobie "Survivor".

 

This year, we are offering two camps, one for the Year 8's and as well as the Year 7's;

 

Year 7 Camp to Iluka Retreat, Shoreham for 2 nights. Included in this camp are adventure activities such as coastal walking, create stacking, tree climbing as well as cultural activities which include a beach conservation activity and indigenous culture activity. The camp also offers educational opportunities and activities including survival skills, campcraft, leadership program and team building.

 

Year 8 Camp to Bimbi Park, Cape Otway for 3 nights. Included in this camp are adventure activities such as coastal walking, snorkeling, mountain biking as well as cultural activities which include beach conservation and indigenous culture activities. The camp also offers educational opportunites and activities including survival skills, campcraft, leadership program and teambuilding.
