Improving reading for all students is an essential part of our work at the college. All students from years 7-10 read for 20 minutes independently during each double period of English classes. Access to a good library is an essential component of that.
The library catalogue at Greensborough College is linked with our student literacy testing. This means that once students have completed their testing, they are able to easily locate books that are at the appropriate reading age for them. This data is also used to purchase more books that are of an appropriate reading age for students as well as catering for student interests.
Our College Library includes an ebook/audiobook subscription to ePlatform which enables students of all abilities, in particular dyslexic students, to access and read books. All students can access the Library catalogue from home via their laptop or mobile app using the link:

Greensborough College is a Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge school where students in Years 7, 8 and 9 participate in a reading challenge from March to September each year.
