The Victorian High Ability Program

The Victorian High-Ability Program is offered to high-ability students across Victorian government schools as selected by the Department of Education and Training. The program is delivered through VSV Online, with a teacher and other students from across Victoria.

Students engage in tasks involving critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Our High‐Ability Practice Leader (HAPL) will support the students’ participation.

The program focuses on tasks that stimulate students’ critical thinking, problem solving and creativity – enriching their understanding of English and Mathematics.

Over 10 sessions, students will attend one 55‐minute synchronous online lesson per session with their teacher, during an allocated time. Outside of the allocated time, students will complete further activities.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of participation.
